About

Introduction

background Story

The decision to become a nurse practitioner was long overdue and I enjoy every moment of seeing clients benefit from treatment. I have over twenty years of experience in nursing practice. My experience in psychiatry spans over a decade working with patients acquiring acute, chronic and serious mental illnesses. As the need for providers of mental health services increased, I decided to transition into the advanced practice nursing role of a nurse practitioner in psychiatry in 2018. My experience is also as a nurse educator providing education and instruction to registered nurses, as well as, providing patient education. I have held psychoeducational groups, brief individual therapeutic sessions, worked with LGBT clients, older adult population and provide medication management.
